The Driving Standards Agency theory test consists of two parts made up by 50 multiple choice questions and 14 hazard video clips. The multiple choice part of the test requires a pass mark of 43 out of 50 questions to pass and at the end of this part of the test you will move onto hazard perception where you will be presented with a short tutorial to help you understand how it works followed by 14 video clips that feature every day road scenarios that could show many hazards although you will be required to spot the main developing hazard. The pass mark for this is 44 out of 75. Both parts must be successfully completed on the day in order to pass and move onto the next stage, the practical test.
